I design with elegance and simplicity for the things people use every day. I can't go out into the world without seeing inspiration all around me – and I wouldn't have it any other way! I love working with lifestyle and wellness brands and partnering with like-minded creatives and seekers.
I arrived to communication design through a winding path, from arts administration, higher education, and singing in a folk trio, to entrepreneurship with the co-founding of a beauty business.
During my time as a business owner, I received mentorship from a startup incubator, where I learned how to give pitches, grow a business, become a leader, and so much more. Through this experience, I discovered what I loved most was creating my company's visual identity and website. My business partner and I ultimately sold the company and I shifted my focus towards design and strategy for small businesses through a studio I co-founded, Water + Sky.
While working as a freelance designer, I completed a certificate in graphic design from Shillington. There, I studied design theory, design thinking, UX/UI principles, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma, and created projects from over 20 briefs, including branding, publishing, packaging and digital.
Creative Boom selected my Shillington portfolio for a feature on “Amazing graphic design portfolios created at an online bootcamp,” describing it as “full of stunning work… you can easily see her world experience reflected in its sophistication, thoughtfulness and precision.”
Born in Lima, Peru, I was raised in Ithaca, NY. When I’m not designing, I enjoy yoga, downhill skiing, cooking, singing, traveling, and, most of all, being a mother to twins. I received a BA in Psychology from the New School for Public Engagement in New York City.
